Frequently Asked Questions: What does each item price include? Pricing includes paper, typestyle choice, ink selection, black and white (unless a typestyle color is selected) proof, embellishments/ribbon and assembly (if applicable) and blank white envelopes, unless otherwise noted.
Is printing a separate charge? Printing is included in the price of your invitations/announcements. It is not a separate charge. You may chose from black or several color ink selections.
How many lines can be printed on an invite or announcement? There is no limit to the number of lines that can be printed; however we may have to adjust the size of the text to make it fit.
Can I buy blank stock? You may purchase our stock without printing; however it is the same price as shown for each invitation/announcement. Please indicate no text, in the wording text box.
How do I place an order? Orders can be made three different ways:
All prices are in U.S. Dollars. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express through PayPal and checks or money orders by mail.
Because of the complexity of some orders, we are unable to take any orders via the phone. We will be glad to assist you through the online ordering process over the phone, or we can fax you an order form, which you can complete and fax back to us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Do I have to order a certain amount? Many retailers and websites sell invitations/announcements by the box or in certain intervals. Since we sell invitations/announcements individually, you can purchase the exact number you need.
How do I pay for my order? Payment is made through PayPal using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. You do not need to be a PayPal member in order to use this service. We will accept personal or company checks and money orders through the mail. Checks must accompany a printable order form. You may also fax your order form to 702.549.6242 and send your check or money order through the U.S. mail. Mail payment to Specialty Invites, 605 SE Pleasant View Dr, Waukee, Iowa 50263.
What does the proof include and what is the process for approving the proof? The proof will not be oriented on the card. The proof will display the layout of the text as well as the typestyle and ink selection. Your order is then on hold until you respond to us either with your proof approval or changes to your proof.
Proof approvals can be communicated online. The best way to ensure we understand each of your changes is to fax it back to us. If you don't have a fax, you can e-mail your changes. Please be as specific and detailed as possible when using the e-mail method.
Please edit your order and proof carefully. Check the spelling of all words, especially names. Review all numbers such as dates, times, addresses, etc. Also, look for grammatical changes we may have made to your text. Once approved, your order will be printed as shown on the proof regardless of differences from the original order form. Reprints will be at the customer’s expense.
How long does it take to process my order? Once an order is received a faxed/e-mailed/mailed proof will be sent within 1-2 business days from the date the order was placed. Follow the instructions sent with your proof to make changes or approve printing. The proof will not be oriented on the card. What if the invitation/announcement I order is out of stock? In the event we may be out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss alternatives or to let you know when we will be able to re-order your paper selection.
How do I reorder if I find out I need more? Reorders with no changes will be given a 10% discount if placed within three months of the original order. Please e-mail/call us to request a reorder, so that your discount can be applied.
Can my order be reprinted? A complimentary black and white (unless a typestyle color is selected) proof is provided to the customer to ensure satisfaction with text, layout and typestyle. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for mistakes or personal preference changes to your order after a proof is approved. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide the correct spelling of names, places and events at the time of order and when approving the proof. Customers will be charged full price for changes after the order is printed. In the event that an order is printed incorrectly by SpecialtyInvites.com, we will reprint and ship it at our expense.
What if I want to return my order? We are unable to refund custom printed orders. Since a complimentary proof is provided, customers will be charged full price for changes after the order is printed. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide the correct spelling of names, places and events at the time of order and when approving the proof.
How much are shipping charges? Shipping charges are based on the dollar amount of your order. They are as follows: $0.00-$60.00=$10.00 $60.01-$120.00=$11.00 $120.01-$180.00=$12.00 $180.01 and up=$13.00 Every order is shipped via UPS ground. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide an accurate shipping address. If there is a mistake in the shipping information the customer provides, the customer will be responsible for any additional charges for re-routing the package or re-shipping the order.
What if I live in the greater Des Moines area? If you are a local resident please contact us via phone at 515.987.2363 or via e-mail at comments@specialtyinvites.com to discuss possible options for delivery and discounts.
How do I use my Discount Code? In order to use the discount code you will need to print out the printable order form and submit with a check or money order. This is so we can apply the discount to your order. If you have questions about any discount code, please contact us via phone at 515.987.2363 or e-mail at comments@specialtyinvites.com.
Will tax be applied to my order? Orders for an address in Iowa will incur a 6% Iowa sales tax, which will be added to all applicable orders.
Can I include a printed photograph on my invitation/announcement? We can work with you if you would like to place a photo on your invitation. However, please call us at 515.987.2363 for this special request.
What if I am expecting? If you are expecting a baby and would like to pre-order your announcements you may. Please place your order and in the text box include that you will be contacting us with the wording and new baby information when he/she arrives. You may call us at 515.987.2363 or e-mail us at orders@specialtyinvites.com with your wording and new baby information. We will then create a proof and send it to you in 1-2 business days.
